HGV Technician

Job Position – HGV Technician x4

Location: Basildon (4 on 4 off nights) & Heywood (4 on 4 off days)

Salary: Competitive/subject to experience

We currently have exciting opportunities for four HGV Technicians to join our workshops in Basildon (x3) and Heywood (x1).

The Role

Our technicians perform maintenance and repairs of trailers, vans, and trucks. Previous experience as a HGV Technician / Trailer fitter or Van technician is essential. We offer a rewarding career in the transportation industry with a competitive hourly rate of pay, overtime and other benefits

Responsibilities include:

Carry out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Carry out inspections
Complete MOT prep/ presentation
Completion of all required paperwork, including job cards and service sheets using online systems
Fault diagnosis and rectification
To work safely and comply with H&S legislation and company procedures at all times

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Mechanics
valid C+E driving licence required
good communication skills
functional IT knowledge beneficial
Minimum 2 years post qualified experience is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Awareness of Health and Safety as it relates to our industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Basildon £20.40 per hour & Heywood £17.00 per hour
